Dr. Silver, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville
in 1972. He subsequently attended the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee, and received his M.D. degree in 1975. He then completed an Internship and Residency in General Internal Medicine and served as Chief Residents at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis. Afterward, he completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology also at the University of Tennessee Center for Health and Sciences in Memphis in 1982.
Dr. Silver is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He began his private Gastroenterology
practice in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1982. He has Active Privileges at Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center and Tennova Surgery Center West on Parkside Drive. He also does endoscopy at Physician`s Surgery of Knoxville on Clinch Avenue.
