H. Steven Silver, MD
Dr. Silver, a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville
in 1972. He subsequently attended the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee, and received his M.D. degree in 1975. He then completed an Internship and Residency in General Internal Medicine and served as Chief Residents at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis. Afterward, he completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology also at the University of Tennessee Center for Health and Sciences in Memphis in 1982.
Dr. Silver is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He began his private Gastroenterology
practice in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1982. He has Active Privileges at Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center and Tennova Surgery Center West on Parkside Drive. He also does endoscopy at Physician`s Surgery of Knoxville on Clinch Avenue.
Melissa Longden, FNP-BC
Melissa Longden is a graduate of East Tennessee State University, with a Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) from the University of St. Francis, earned in 2005. She earned a diploma in nursing from Fort Sanders School of Nursing in 1993. As a registered nurse she worked primarily on an inpatient unit specializing in medical-surgical care, gynecology, and oncology patient care from 1993-2005. Afterward she began as a registered nurse/educator for Pre-Admission Testing, Day Surgery, Holding & Recovery Room, and Gi lab until 2008. In 2012 Melissa completed her master’s in nursing at ETSU.
